For each exhibition, June LaCombe first works with artists from our region who are consistently creating strong sculpture and then reviews all work with studio visits and imagery to select individual pieces. Unlike many galleries who take all new work from their stable of artists, June curates each show. She exhibits work by artists who are exploring through myth and metaphor our relationship with the natural world. Sculpture, brought together from all over New England, is carefully sited in public and private gardens.
June LaCombe exhibits sculpture that enlivens the land and celebrates place. She explores environmental themes with her exhibitions, always looking to heal the nature/culture divide and explore the sensitive relationship between art and the land. She seeks work with an ancient voice that still has something to convey about the poetics of place today.
Selecting art is an individual choice, forging a connection with the artist who created the sculpture. June’s exhibitions set the stage to experience sculpture in home and garden settings. She is available to help with all logistics of a sculpture purchase.
